Some of these methods are: 

1. Biorational products: These are pesticide products based on biological components. They contain pheromones which are chemical substances secreted by animals and released into the area infested by pests that affect the physiology and general health of animals of their kind. This method has a very minor effect on the environment and is only toxic to specific pests. It also increases the effects of pesticides on these pests. The most effective kind of Biorational pesticides are BT- based (Bacillus Thuringiensis based). We use these products as an alternative method to chemical products in areas where food and other important contaminable materials need to be protected.
2. Insect growth regulators (IGRS): For insect infestation, IGRS are highly recommended. They are synthetic insect hormones used in insecticides to control and reduce the population of insects in specific areas. IGRS basically ensure that insects do not grow to maturity. For adult insects, we ensure to use IGR products that contain insecticides that can also kill matured insects. The most interesting part is that as lethal as IGRs are to insects, they are not toxic to humans.
3. Integrated Pest Management (IPM): IPM is an ecosystem-based strategy that focuses on Long- term prevention of pests through a combination of techniques such as biological control, habitat manipulation, modification of cultural practices, and use of resistant varieties. Pesticides are used as the last result. Pest control materials are selected and applied in a manner that minimizes risks to human health, beneficial to non- target organism and the environment.
4. Second Generation Green Products: In areas where the treatment cannot be done in isolation, we have the perfect remedy; Second Generation Green Products. The world is evolving and it is becoming more important to prioritize environmental safety. At Topshift, we are at the forefront of that evolution.
   These Green products contain ingredients that will eradicate all kinds of pesticide or insecticide toxicity including fouls or offensive smells. This reduces the interruption time, and guarantees that occupants of the infested area can resume their regular activities as quickly as possible. 
   Fly baits: For smaller areas and controlled pest control, we use fly bait stickers that attract insects, traps them, and kills then in less than a minute of contact. They’re usually set up in areas such as food storage areas where insects are more likely to be found.
